I Gotta Feeling That Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night...

"I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas.  The title obviously refers to how I felt about last night, but I digress.

Can I just say BEST PROM EVER!!!

Like I'm not even kidding.  It was freaking great.  I got my hair done in Bowling Green, buying the new Take Action CD and the newest Love At Stake book, Vampire Mine and a pretty metal B to hang in my room.  That's not the point.  I got home, with very little time to spare before Joseph got there, which sucked because I didn't get to paint my nails, but nobody noticed my nails, nor did I notice anyone else's, so it was a win-win situation.  Anyway, we lollygagged about my house taking pictures for a while and then we left.  First thing we did was go to The Great Escape because they were having a huge sale, and I bought the original Star Wars trilogy special collector's vhs box set thing and the first volume of The Walking Dead.  Which, by the way, is absolutely nothing like the show.  Not even a little.  Or I suppose it would be the show is nothing like the book...

Anyway, we ate at the Smoothie & Pretzel Co in the mall, where we were waited on by none other than Mr Beautiful himself.  I don't even know his name but he is one pretty man.  After that we went down to FYE because I wanted to buy The Royal Tenenbaums, which I did.  Great movie, I watched it last weekend.  But anyway, after the mall we were pretty much at a loss of what to do, so we went to Wal-Mart where we met up with Blake, his date, Tiffany, Marty, Austin and Bretta.  The weird thing about Bretta being there is that we both basically hate each other but we acted like bff's.  Weird.
We didn't stay at Wal-Mart long though, we left to make sure we could figure out how to get there.

Now for the actual prom goings on.  God it was so much fun.  I danced my ass off!  I danced so hard I got too hot to keep my little shrug thing on, so I ended up just leaving it at the table with all my other stuff.  I danced like no one was watching and I'd never dance again.  I danced with so many different people.  It was one of the best nights of my life, hands down.

The only problem?  Everyone seemed to want to be there with somebody else.  All night long I saw people giving other people furtive glances across the dancefloor, drilling holes into their preferred date's dance partner.  I'm not going to lie, I was one such person.  It just really makes you wonder about people.  Why we don't just say what we want to, and ask who we want to dance with to dance with us.

But back to the actual events.  After prom me and Joseph were driving down 31W, about to turn on 101 when he's transmission started acting up.  No big thing, it just meant we had to pull voer and put more fluid in it.  So we pull over on the side of 101 and we probably weren't there a minute when someone pulls over to help us.  Now, keep in mind it's about midnight.  So they get out of their car, and walk towards Joseph's truck.  Lo and behold, it's Daniel.  Seriously, what are the odds of that?  They are one in the biggest number you can think of.  I couldn't even make something like that up.  It's ridiculous.

But, like I said, prom was great.  I'm really sore today from getting it down on the dancefloor last night, but it was way worth a thousand days of soreness.
